are ready to stop it, but Kasane interferes, not willing to accept her sister has lost her mind, and if you thought the story got dark already, just wait till Phase 3 because EVERYTHING HITS THE FAN. She ends up stepping into the line of fire but ends up becoming a fearsome Other. In the dying moments of a mission both Yuito and Kasane’s teams are on, Naomi Randell, Kasane’s sister by adoption, ends up seeing a vision of her sister dying thanks to her power, Precognition. However, at the end of the 2nd Phase, things get a little… compilated. From here the 1st 2 phases focus on introducing us to the world and different characters such as Arashi Spring, Gemma Garrison, and Shiden Ritner. Leader Seto Narukmi, and our teammates, Nagi, Hanabi Ishijo, a girl who is a childhood friend of Yuito whose family are high up in New Himuka’s medical field, Kagero Donne, a man who is pretty flamboyant, Tsukmi Nazar, a girl who’s a bit of an introvert, and Wataru Frazer, our battle guide. It’s a really good way to amp you up for the game you are about to play.Īnyways, after that, we meet our designated crew. Yuito ends up running into a girl named Kasane Randell, who bears a striking resemblance to the person that saved him all those years ago…Īfter helping her defeat an Other, he’s surrounded by “Crows”, the media who take a particular interest in Yuito due to his last name, but he’s quickly helped by Luka Travers, who explains a lot about the OSF and the world we are in, complete with death Censors.Īfter a quick meet-up with Kyoka Eden, the intro plays, it’s animated by SUNRISE, the same people who are doing the anime, and has the amazing song, Dream in Drive playing on it. They end up running to some creatures called Others, who like to feed on Human brains and must be stopped. On their enlistment day, they head to Sumeragi Tomb in the futuristic Suoh City, a place where Yakumo Sumeragi was buried, and try to read their fortune, showing bad luck. Problem is, he doesn’t remember who it is, but because of this, he decides to enlist in the OSF, or Others Suppression Force with his best friend, Nagi Karmen.
This is the quote Yuito hears quite a bit from someone that saved him a while back.
But during the Journey, what secrets does Yuito discover? Are his friends even really his friends? Let’s find out.Īs always spoilers are abounding(for both stories because they are some crossover points), and I’m reviewing the PC version before all DLC at the time of writing, which I have a quick note if you’re using a wireless controller from EasySMX, you might get PS4/PS5 Controller prompts rather than Xbox One/Series X prompts if you plug it in to charge and play at the same time, so just be wary there. Who are these 2 protagonists, dragged into this fate? And today, we are gonna focus on the story and gameplay of Yuito Sumeragi, a kid who joined the OSF, despite the fact that his bloodline is leading the Nation of New Himuka. After that, I haven’t really looked into it since the game came out, but it looked very unique, especially for an anime game, it felt like a piece of futuristic artwork coming to life. Scarlet Nexus is a game that I’ve been loosely following since its announcement in 2020’s Xbox event, you know, cause it was the only good thing there.
OH MAN, HAVE I WANTED TO TALK ABOUT THIS.
